Lil Wayne Hospitalized After Suffering from "Seizure-Like" Symptoms

Lil Wayne made an emergency landing in Texas after suffering seizure-like symptoms on a private jet ... TMZ has learned.

A source close to Weezy -- real name Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. -- tells us, right after the plane touched down ... the rapper was transported to a local hospital to get treatment on Thursday afternoon.

We're told Wayne was at the hospital for several hours ... he checked out around 6 PM local time.

It's unclear if doctors made an exact diagnosis -- but we're told Wayne is "doing better.

UPDATE: Lil Wayne suffers from second seizure


Lil Wayne almost phoned home yesterday after what was described as seizure like symptoms aboard his private jet. The small plane landed in Texas and the rapper was examined at a local hospital then later released. Now TMZ reports that much like Rick Ross's health scare, Tunechi hopped on a plane from Texas heading to Los Angeles but started convulsing which grounded the private jet again. Mr. Carter is now checked into a local hospital in Louisiana. More on this as it comes.
