New York's Senator Malcom Smith wants Lil Wayne to aplogize

Recently YMCMB's front man  made some side remarks about the big apple, stating flat out "I don't like New York". Those comments were fueled by an incident that happened a few months when Hot 97's vjay Peter Rosenberg slandered Young Money's first lady Nicki Minaj before she was scheduled to preform at Summer Jam. Weezy not only pulled Nicki but all of YMCMB from the show. Recently New York Senator Malcom Smith released the following statements to MTV News.
"New York City is the birthplace of the Hip Hop music movement, ...Millions of New Yorkers listen to his music every day. His comments outraged his local fans and residents. The group today will be demanding an apology of the hip hop star."
