Busta Ryhmes speaks on why he decided to release his 9th album for free in an interview with Complex

Earlier today Busta Ryhmes dropped his 9th album for free on Google Play (you can find the link to Year Of The Dragon below). The hip hop vet called into Complex where he said he explained his decision to partner with Google and release the album for free, "I’ve done so much amazing shit and I’ve been blessed tremendously. It’s time to do other amazing shit in new ways. That’s where I’m at. I’m about constantly elevating. I’m not with maintaining shit. That sounds like stagnation, homie. That gets boring. Nothing is guaranteed, but I’m definitely going to get to new levels. I’m still learning." As far as his first official debut on the Cash Money umbrella (which is rumored to be titled Extinction Level Event 2, a sequel to his 1998 album Extinction Level Event: The Final World Front) the rapper said it's 75% complete, and it's going to be something "special", he just wants us to "evolve" with him. Well if it's anything like the first Extinction Level then it'll mos def be something special.
